With more than four decades of experience in the travel industry, El Cid Vacations Club and El Cid Resorts continuously demonstrate their commitment, perseverance and now more than ever ability to thrive in what may be considered a tough time for the travel industry. However, by adopting and adhering to a global movement within the hospitality industry and tourism sector, ECVC is well on its way and sets the tone with Ventus at Marina El Cid Spa and Beach Resort and Quintana Roo as a destination, both qualifying for the significant “Safe Travels” stamp. El Cid Vacations Club facilities in Mazatlán also qualified for this recognition. Giving visitors and locals alike, peace of mind and freedom to enjoy and go about offering and participating in activities and services both indoors and outdoors.
“Cancun and the Mexican Caribbean have implemented the new safety measures for travellers that WTTC has recognised and approved through the Safe Travels stamp.” Carlos Joaquín, Governor of Quintana Roo.
The World Travel & Tourism Council embarked on a project working closely and alongside governments, health experts and other industry associations to propose and achieve effective recovery protocols and meaningful action plans that optimise sector-wide recovery efforts across the globe. The Safe Travels stamp is the world’s first ever global safety and hygiene stamp for Travel & Tourism, designed to address COVID-19. The stamp will allow travelers and other travel and tourism stakeholders to recognize destination authorities and companies around the world that have implemented health and hygiene protocols that are aligned with WTTC’s Safe Travels Protocols, which also consider and take into account current guidelines implemented by the World Health Organization and also the US Centers of Disease Control and Prevention.
Ventus at Marina El Cid Spa and Beach Resort in Cancun- Riviera Maya opens its doors July 1st, 2020 and has already earned the Safe Travels stamp. With a clear mission and vision to continue providing exceptional vacationing experiences for members, guests and their families, ECVCs Cleanliness & Care Program (link to program) serves as a direct and transparent effort supporting WTTC’s objective to return and enforce: trust, confidence, credibility, consistency and normality back to the travel industry.
“We are committed to do what it takes to secure a great and safe experience for you and your family”, Carlos Berdegue CEO, El Cid Resorts.
